Chapter One
The First Hello
On July 2022, Our love story began the way so many modern romances do — with a simple swipe. The two connected on Tinder at a moment of transition in Luis' life, as he was in the middle of moving from California. What started as messages exchanged across the miles quickly became something neither of them expected, a connection that would eventually lead them to building a life together in Texas.

Chapter Two
The First Date
After a month of getting to know each other, we finally met in person — dinner at Trinity Groves, followed by dessert at Kate Weiser. (Luis didn't mention at the time that he doesn't even like chocolate… but had some anyway.) We ended the night with a long walk and this Dallas skyline, and somewhere along the way, it started to feel like the beginning of something special.

Chapter Three
When We Knew
It didn't take long before we knew it was something special. Every moment apart felt like one too many, and before we knew it, we were spending more and more time at Miguel's place — not because we had to, but because that's simply where we wanted to be. There was no grand realization, no single moment that made everything click. It was quieter than that. It was just the constant pull to be near each other, to share the small everyday moments, to never really want to leave each other. We had become each other's safe haven.

Chapter Four
Building a Life
From those early days of constant texts and stolen time together, we began building something real. A big step came when they moved in together, turning a space into a home that was fully theirs. What started as two people falling for each other slowly became a shared life — mutual friends who became family, a routine built around each other, and a future they were shaping together one day at a time. Our worlds had merged in the best way, surrounding themselves with people who loved us both. It wasn't always perfect, but it was ours. Two people who found each other at just the right time, choosing each other every single day.

Chapter Five
The Proposal
It happened on July 12, 2025, exactly three years after their first date. Miguel planned the evening as a special anniversary celebration at the Swexan Hotel, with dinner, drinks, and a few photos to mark the occasion. After dinner, Miguel and Luis made their way to the rooftop, where the proposal was meant to take place, but just as they stepped outside, it began to rain. They moved inside, and in that unexpected moment, Miguel asked Luis to marry him. Afterward, they headed downstairs for a drink, where family and friends were waiting to celebrate the beginning of their next chapter together.
